Time is flying by. You realize the people who raised you, nurtured you, and amazed you with their stories are getting older. You want to make sure those stories are saved forever. TimePieces can help. Our services include:

A pre-interview "getting to know you" session with you and your loved ones (the narrators)
Invitation to you and other relatives to submit questions you'd like the narrators to answer
Recorded interview sessions (6 or more hours) with narrators
Transcribing the recordings
Writing/organizing their stories into a well-written book, in their own words
Revising based on the narrator's and your feedback
Selecting and scanning photographs
Designing the text and photographs together into a beautiful book (usually 80-100 pages)
Overseeing printing and binding to your specifications

The finished book reads much like an autobiography you would find in a bookstore—with an introduction and then chapters that cover childhood, adolescence, leaving home, falling in love, raising children, finding a career, important contributions, retirement, and so on. Of course, each book takes a unique form to suit the unique life of the person telling it. This story can be enhanced by other people's memories of the narrator and excerpts from journals, letters, and newspaper clippings. You, a child, or a spouse might also want to write a foreword for the book.
